Those ordering the regular 2.4-liter inline-four version may even see deliveries before the end of 2023. This backs up the information from Toyota around the launch that those purchasing the hybrid models would have to wait until Spring 2024 before they get their trucks. After that, it will be the turn of the hybrid, but production for those will not begin until April 2024. The Toyota4G forum posted in August that production of the 2024 model begins this December, commencing with the 2.4-liter version of the pickup truck. Toyota is staggering the release and production of the 2024 Tacoma. That is still a huge number, and the factory worker says much of the delays were down to a few thousand units at the start of production. With holidays and the week-long Toyota shutdown that happens every July, that figure is more likely to be around 300,000. That would really boost production, and it would equate to 336,000 trucks produced each year. The forum user says the aim is for Toyota to produce 6,480 trucks each week. But things are quickly ramping up, and as of the time of writing, the company will ship 4,320 trucks worth of components until the end of 2023. Production of those parts started out lower than they anticipated, with the worker saying that 2,640 trucks worth of components had shipped so far into mass production. ![]() The opening poster on the forum claims they are a worker at a company that produces a wide array of components for Tacoma pickup trucks. ![]()
